#10 My Choice

I will be going on spring break in Florida on the Gulf of Mexico side of the state and will be spending time on many white sand and young-crowd beaches. Therefore, I conducted a little research of what are being rated as top contenders for spring 2011 bikini/bathing suit styles and designs. Well, out of the top ten, which covered way too many, I wanted to narrow it down even more to see if I could indeed sight any of them next week...My choices were a "camo suit" or "metallic suit". I personally feel that the metallic is straight on...it's in...I just bought some metallic boat shoes at Payless for $12. Also, last spring (2010) there were an influx of neon-toned suits everywhere...metallic just seems like the right path of diversion from last beach season. I decided on the "camo" because I did not know if I truly could see people wearing a bathing suit in that design. However, now that I am tossing it around in my mind some more while typing away, I think that with all of the "soft military" and "army hues" we saw a great deal of "camo" colors within the last year, camoflage bikinis may be the next step...Can't wait to upload what I discover!

Eventually I believe that there will be no need to have actual clothes on the runways, but rather projections onto nude leotard models? Anything is possible with what is being thought of today.

Camel coats have literally been popping up everywhere. Last weekend when I was roaming D.C., I saw them probably every few women and men that I passed. Not just rain and spring light-weight coats, but winter wools as well. The two panels buttoning together or just once at the top was common as well.

This piece spoke to me because I am a huge fan of loud and large jewelry. Especially ones that incorporate coral and turquoise, like this one seems to do perfectly. I love the way this does not look tacky, but completely natural and somehow organic. It looks like it could have come right out of the ocean.
