Back Necklaces-The Deep Back Drape
Image from Pinterest via Candace Cox via Polienne Blog
LOVE low-back apparel, especially with modest covering long-sleeves and a flowey floor-length skirt. With my experience working in the jewelry world, I am thrilled to finally see some slightly dramatic accessories and revealing of the back instead of constantly the cleavage deep v-neck silhouette. Also, seen recently at the Oscars on Jennifer Lawrence.

Popping up on runways and designers' new lookbooks are the Boot-dals (boots-sandals in one)! A revisited version of the gladiator strapped sandals a few years ago, these are higher and more defined geometrically!

The New for Tights & Boots

There is a plethora of pictures to validate these trends. Think everything above-the-knee paired with a bottom that is on the shorter side. From Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman we see that, like most things, trends come back again. Within the past few years we have seen an increase in patterned tights, but this style is different. These tights can almost appear as over the knee boots or high sock stockings. They can look like garters, which is funky to pair with a simple solid mini dress! And to those of us on the more petite side, they can even help elongate our legs! Also, the second picture is a sneak peek straight from the runway of the new invention of "fold-over high boots". Look closely and see that the only part of the toe that is seen is the very tip and the rest is hovered over by a leather overlay.

Lets keep up with the lace shall we!? As well as the mod bangs trend I first blogged about quite some time ago, a high bun on top of your head is becoming the style to sport. Not to mention, it's pretty practical and easy for any woman to maintain a chic look, while keeping the hair out of your face all day.

Lu Helpful Hints:
- Jessica Simpson Clip-In Mod Bangs come in a wide array of shades to match any hair tone.
- Buy at any drug store or even a dollar store hair elastics in your shade to blend in with the high bun, I like the extra skinny blonde elastics and blonde bobby pins.
- Neutral Lipstick shades-in the winter I love a brown hue.
- My Go-To accessories-silver and diamond droplet earrings matched with my recycled silverware spoon ring and Irish Claddagh ring from Thomas Dillon Jewelers (original makers of the Claddagh) in Galway, Ireland.
One inspiration pic of Beyonce practicing for the 2013 SuperBowl Halftime Show in dressed down street style and I was hooked on flat brimmed hats. Had to rep Boston though of coarse : ) However, I soon found out that it wasn't just B who knew what was up, but many other women too at NY Fashion Week were rocking a grunge feel with everything from flat brimmed to baseball hats!

- A great place to find a myriad of selections of these jems is Lids hat store, you can even customize with stitching if you want for just $15 additional cost.
